Tony Parravano (third from left) looks at Carroll Shelby who is seated in Parravano’s Ferrari 375 Plus before a practice session. Parravano was known as “Saturday Night Tony,” because he often would not bother to enter an event properly, but would just show up with a car – or three – the day before the race. This was one such occasion and Shelby had to start from the back of the grid. He crashed, trying to make up for it. |
